Ehlers-Danlos syndrome &
Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder

EDS & HSD
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder are genetic connective tissue disorders that are usually (but not always) characterized by joint hypermobility. Due to the widespread musculoskeletal issues present with EDS/HSD, physical therapy is a cornerstone of managing the disorder. However, effective treatment by a skilled, EDS-aware therapist is imperative due to the complexity of the disorder and its associated comorbidities like POTS, MCAS, vascular compression syndromes, and more.
