MEET DR. KINSEY WORLEY

MeET Dr. kinsey worley
PT, DPT, IMH-C
Dr. Kinsey received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Texas Woman’s University and completed postgraduate training in pelvic health through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Since then, Dr. Kinsey has gone on to specialize in treating pelvic floor dysfunction in women and children, focusing on disorders such as incontinence (leaking), prolapse, constipation, pain with sex, and more.

Dr. Kinsey has also been passionate about helping people with genetic connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (EDS/HSD), and Marfan’s Syndrome ever since she was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome while in PT school. “Unfortunately, hypermobility and its associated genetic conditions are significantly underdiagnosed and thought to be rare, when in fact they are relatively common. Most PTs do not receive adequate or accurate education on the screening and treatment of hypermobile people, but physical therapy provided by a specialist and tailored to the hypermobile individual can make a significant improvement in his/her quality of life and level of function.”

Dr. Kinsey also pursued her Institute for Menstrual Health Women’s Hormone Health Certification (IMH-C) after realizing how many of her patients needed a multifaceted approach for their conditions. “I was seeing many women for issues like painful sex, pelvic pain, painful/irregular/absent menstrual cycles, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, etc., who had never been assessed for endometriosis, PCOS, insulin resistance or other associated issues. Many of these women intuitively knew something was wrong. I personally have experienced how holistic, multifaceted treatment improved my symptoms associated with PCOS and endometriosis, and I want to do the same for other women in similar situations who have been let down by the healthcare system.”

In her free time, Dr. Kinsey enjoys hiking with her husband, Josh, and their two dogs. She also loves game nights with her family and friends, camping, and traveling.

She has helped me live a pain-free life! I have a chronic life long condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and she has learned everything that goes into treating it.
